Position Summary:

4Evergreen Resources LP is seeking an experienced Mining Equipment Operator for an upcoming coal mining project.

This position requires previous coal mining experience, including demonstrated experience cleaning coal and working around coal seams. The successful candidate will also have experience operating large mining excavators, with experience on CAT 390, CAT 395, and CAT 6015 equipment strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will be a skilled, safety-focused operator who can work effectively in an active mining environment while maintaining high standards of equipment operation, productivity, and environmental and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Operations:

  • Safely and efficiently operate large mining excavators, including CAT 390, CAT 395, and CAT 6015.
  • Perform coal cleaning and other excavation activities associated with coal mining operations.
  • Identify and work effectively around coal seams and surrounding material.
  • Follow mine plans, grade requirements, and direction from supervisors and mine personnel.
  • Conduct required pre-use inspections and identify equipment maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Operate equipment in a manner that supports productivity while minimizing equipment damage, material loss, and unnecessary disturbance.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Comply with all 4EG policies, mine-site procedures, client requirements, and applicable health and safety regulations.
  • Complete required field-level hazard assessments, inspections, and safety documentation.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, orientations, and other required safety activities.
  • Immediately report hazards, incidents, equipment concerns, and changing site conditions.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful, and safety-focused approach to work.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must have:

  • Previous coal mining experience, including demonstrated experience cleaning coal and working around coal seams.
  • Demonstrated experience operating large mining excavators. Experience operating CAT 390, CAT 395, and/or CAT 6015 equipment is strongly preferred and should be clearly identified in your application.
  • Strong understanding of safe heavy-equipment operation in an active mine environment.
  • Ability to recognize changing ground and material conditions and adjust operating practices accordingly.
  • Ability to work effectively with supervisors, other equipment operators, and mine personnel.

Experience operating a CAT 390, 395, and 6015 is considered a strong asset and should be clearly identified in your application.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and satisfactory driver's abstract.
  • Required mine-site and safety certifications appropriate to the project.
  • Ability to work extended shifts and rotational schedules as required.
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather and site conditions.
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment and/or project-required drug and alcohol testing.
  • Dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a field team.

Compensation & Benefits

$38.00 - $42.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. LOA and truck allowance may be available based on project location, assignment requirements, and eligibility.

Eligible employees receive benefits in accordance with applicable 4EG benefit plans.
