Supervisor (Logging Season 2026/27)

Position Summary:
The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations for 4EG employees and subcontractors on assigned projects. This includes ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with approved work plans, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
The Supervisor works closely with the Project Manager (PM) and clients to ensure successful project delivery, while maintaining high standards of safety, accountability, transparency, and quality.
Key Responsibilities

Operations & Site Management
- Oversee daily worksite activities for employees and subcontractors
- Ensure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule
- Coordinate with PM and clients on project progress and requirements
- Estimate, track, and document daily materials, equipment, and supply needs
- Maintain daily site diaries and records of activities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations
- Interpret and implement work plans, engineering drawings, and specifications

Health, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all 4EG HSSE policies, including harassment-free workplace requirements
- Conduct daily toolbox/tailgate meetings
- Complete and document safety inspections, audits, and Lockout/Tagout procedures
- Ensure compliance with the BC Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture on site
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and PPE
- Stay current on regulatory and safety requirements and communicate updates to crews

Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate field crews and subcontractors
- Mentor, train, and support employees, including apprentices and equipment operators
- Provide clear direction and enforce standards of performance and conduct
- Lead by example in safety, professionalism, and work ethic
- Support conflict resolution and maintain positive team dynamics

Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate daily documentation of site activities
- Report progress, issues, and compliance matters to the Project Manager
- Ensure transparent communication with management, clients, and regulatory bodies as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Civil Construction Foreman or Supervisor
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and site plans
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with basic surveying and field layout (grades, measurements)
- Strong understanding of construction operations, materials, and equipment use
- Competency in calculations (volume, weight, distance, etc.)
- Proficient in maintaining site documentation and daily reports
- Knowledge of BC Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Certification in Construction Supervision (or equivalent experience)

Additional Requirements
- Must be able to work under tight deadlines and changing field conditions
- Must be dependable, adaptable, and highly motivated
- Willing to complete pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Must enforce a drug-free, harassment-free workplace
Compensation
$450–$600 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
