Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring, measurement, and reporting of assigned project plans.
This role works directly with clients to ensure projects are delivered successfully to scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining strong relationships and aligning with 4EG’s standards of openness, fairness, transparency, accountability, and ethical business practice.
The Project Manager also coordinates internal departments and external subcontractors as required to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Administration
- Meet with clients to define project scope, budget, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Coordinate project startup, execution, and close-out activities

Project Execution & Operations
- Monitor project performance against scope, schedule, and budget
- Track progress and provide regular reporting to clients and senior leadership
- Analyze financial performance and make recommendations to maintain budget targets
- Identify and manage project risks, constraints, and changes
- Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with approved plans and standards

Financial Management
- Support budget development, planning, and review
- Track project costs and support financial reporting
- Ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters
- Provide analysis and recommendations for cost control and efficiency

Staff and Contractor Management
- Delegate work based on skills, strengths, and experience
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff and subcontractors in alignment with 4EG policies
- Provide ongoing mentoring, leadership, and performance feedback
- Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development
- Foster a strong team culture focused on professionalism, safety, and collaboration
- Support conflict resolution and maintain effective working relationships

Leadership & Reporting
- Provide clear and timely reporting to clients and the General Manager
- Ensure transparency and accountability in all project activities
- Always maintain confidentiality and professional standards
- Continuously demonstrate leadership aligned with 4EG values and policies
Qualifications:
- Education in Project Management or related field
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Strong financial management and budget planning experience
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities
- Proven ability to manage time, priorities, and multiple projects
- Experience working with or within First Nation communities is considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain and provide a Criminal Record Check
- Strong understanding of construction or resource development environments is an asset
Working Conditions:
- Must meet project deliverables, timelines, and budget requirements
- May be required to work extended hours and travel to field sites or meetings
- Work may involve exposure to field environments and variable conditions
- Must comply with company policies including fatigue management, OH&S regulations, and journey management practices
